[Intended Use]

This kit is suitable for qualitative detection of Yellow Fever virus nucleic acid in serum samples of patients, and provides an effective auxiliary means for clinical diagnosis and treatment of Yellow Fever virus infection. The test results are for clinical reference only, and the final diagnosis should be comprehensively considered in close combination with other clinical indicators.

Yellow Fever virus belongs to Togavirus Group B, which is an RNA virus, spherical, about 20-60nm. After the virus invades the human body, it spreads to the regional lymph nodes, where it replicates and reproduces. After several days, it enters the blood circulation to form viremia, mainly involving liver, spleen, kidney, lymph nodes, bone marrow, striated muscle, etc. After that, the virus disappeared from the blood, but it could still be detected in the spleen, bone marrow, lymph nodes, etc.

Virulent strains of the virus often mainly invade the liver and cause severe lesions. Clinical features include fever, severe headache, facial hyperemia, obvious relative slow pulse, massive black vomit, massive proteinuria, jaundice, etc. After Yellow Fever virus infection, clinical disease occurs, and the rest are recessive infection. The incubation period is 7 days, and mild symptoms can only manifest as fever, headache, mild proteinuria, etc., without jaundice and bleeding, and recover after several days. Severe cases can generally be divided into infection period, poisoning period and recovery period. Therefore, it is of great significance to establish a simple, specific and rapid pathogenic diagnostic method for Yellow Fever virus in clinical diagnosis.

[Storage Conditions and Shelf-life]

  1. Unopened kits: Should be stored stored at a temperature not higher than 30°C and protected from light, and the shelf life is 12 months.
  2. The freeze-dried reaction buffer should be tested by RT-PCR immediately after being reconstituted. Otherwise, it should be stored at -25°C to -15°C away from light, and the shelf life is 1 week(should be limited within two cycles).
  3. The freeze-dried positive control should be stored at -25°C to -15°C after being reconstituted, and the shelf life is 1 week and avoid the repeated freezing and thawing (should be limited within two cycles).
  4. Transport condition: Can be transported stably for 1 month below 37°C.
